[Album Spotlight #2] 怖い時間 (Sunset Grid Compilation)

Today is one of my favorite holidays, Halloween! To kick off this spooky day we have a new album/ compilation by Sunset Grid.

Each track on this album has a unique sound,  the opening track "ホテル shampoo - Monster Mush" begins with an eerie gong sample accompanied by vocals that you would hear in a demonic realm. Then the tempo starts to quicken and it gets more dancer, this is defiantly a track you would play at a costume party.

There are more dark ambient sounds on this comp such as Vylter track "Owl Mage" that captures an amazing atmosphere sound she's known for

b l u e s c r e e n track "D҉Is҉c҉o҉ ҉M҉a҉s҉s҉a҉c҉r҉e҉" gives off trip-hop vibes, it features very dark elements. From layered vaporware drums to trumpet samples and epic synths that you hear throughout the track. It will leave you horrified 

The stand-out song on this comp is "spooky action" by "Ceramic" this track reminds me of watching an old-school 80's horror film, from synthwave melody's too deep vocals ceramic brings together something nostalgic, the name "spooky action" fits this masterpiece perfectly. It is very spooky

I have a track on here as well titled "Vampire Party" in this song I tell a story about what it's like to be at a party with demonic creatures. It features my vocals as well

[Album Spotlight #8] derivative誰- wedding cake mix tape

wedding cake mix tape by derivative誰 To celebrate derivative誰 wedding he has created a 6 track vaporwave EP titled "wedding cake mixtape" as a present for his significant other surprise 先生 (Desired remix) is the first track to kick off the EP, it has a classic vaporwave feel to it. Mellow drums as well as sampled saxophone pieces feel the air in the room, this track also has hints of R & B mixed in. Through the track, there's  a spoken word that says "Thank you all for joining I've been waiting for this my whole life" which left a smile on my face knowing that derivative has found someone to be with forever. スタジオ is by far my favorite track from this EP, I'm a fan of schoolboy and this remix is stellar. The vocals have heavy reverb on them that defiantly sets the mood of the setting,  I feel like this would be played at derivative誰  bachelor party a few nights before getting married while you're hanging with your best friends having fun. ...

[Single Saturday #18] rybaby, Boyfriend, Maddie Lives- Everywhere You Go

It's that time again for single Saturday! This week we have a collab single for you guys titled "Everywhere You Go" featuring 3 artists rybaby, Boyfriend, Maddie Lives The tracks begins with a groovy house rhythm and sliced vocal chants then the build-up drops and you're greeted with the main vocals, the singer's voice is so smooth. Throughout the track the lyrics are simple yet mesmerizing, "Everywhere you go" is the main vocal accompanied by a 4/4 uplifting beat. This track has influences of big room house mixed with EDM as well as a touch of tropical house, one of the things that stood out to me in the track is the different types of layers sounds. You can hear arps mixed with catchy synth leads as well as other huge ambient sounds, as the track progress, the instruments evolve over and over again to create something magical.
