Image
怖い時間 by Sunset Grid Today is one of my favorite holidays, Halloween! To kick off this spooky day we have a new album/ compilation by Sunset Grid. Each track on this album has a unique sound,  the opening track "ホテル shampoo - Monster Mush" begins with an eerie gong sample accompanied by vocals that you would hear in a demonic realm. Then the tempo starts to quicken and it gets more dancer, this is defiantly a track you would play at a costume party. There are more dark ambient sounds on this comp such as Vylter track "Owl Mage" that captures an amazing atmosphere sound she's known for b l u e s c r e e n track "D҉Is҉c҉o҉ ҉M҉a҉s҉s҉a҉c҉r҉e҉" gives off trip-hop vibes, it features very dark elements. From layered vaporware drums to trumpet samples and epic synths that you hear throughout the track. It will leave you horrified  The stand-out song on this comp is "spooky action" by "Ceramic" this track reminds me of watching

Image
doktorb · Uncanny Lobby (from Adventures In Atlantis DLC out on Vacuum Noise Records) Hope everyone is having a good weekend, this weeks singles Saturday is featuring a special friend of mine doktorb! doktorb released a new track a few weeks ago titled "Uncanny Lobby" from his new album "Adventures in Atlantis DLC" that was released via VNR. Immediately when the track starts you hear glitches in the instrumental, accompanied by different sound textures as well. Throughout the track, doktorb blends many different sounds to create a mixed genre sound that he's known for. Nothing is off limits when it comes to his style of music, the different percussion elements in "Uncanny Lobby" are surreal. There's chilled-out drum beats to fast breakcore sounds,  Doktorb is an artist to defiantly listen to if you're a fan of noise, experimental, or anything In between.   Listen to more of doktorb's tracks here https://soundcloud.com/doktor

When It's Cold Enough To See The Melody by Vylter Vylter has just recently released a 4 track project titled "When It's Cold Enough To See The Melody" via vacuum noise records and it's simply amazing. The first track to kick off the album is titled "de tu Al ma ma" the ambiance hits you right away, breathtaking ambient pads that could melt even the darkest of hearts. Throughout the experience, you can faintly hear a vocal sample that is delayed and is heavy reverbed to give it a psychedelic sound.  "Untransliterated" is one of the more drone style tracks and one of my favorites from the album. Beautiful layers of sounds and immersing soundscapes that will leave you in a trance for hours. This is defiantly a track to listen to while meditating or sleeping "nay to you I say" is very upbeat, starting with an acoustic guitar piece accompanied by a vocal chop that i

[Single Saturday #1] ManChesterSpeas OTE ft. Centaur Sapien prod. Fidelity Heart Cult

ManChesterSpeas · OTE ft. Centaur Sapien prod. Fidelity Heart Cult Single Saturday will be a special blog post every Saturday, kicking off this new topic we have a new single that was released a few weeks ago titled "OTE" from ManChesterSpeas featuring Centaur Sapien and the production is done by the very talented  Fidelity Heart Cult. OTE starts with a euphoric melody but when the instrumental begins it gets very heavy, ManChesterSpeas is the first verse you hear. I'm sure everyone can relate to being "on the edge"  ManChesterSpeas rap's about it effortlessly, he paints an image in your head about how life can be a struggle. As the beat builds up ManChester rap's about different things such as "black bodies near my bed white noise in my head" "my guts have been giving me shit" as well as one of my favorite lyrics from this track "I'm the potent in the aftermath" He has a one of a kind style and it shines here on this

So what is Digital Gaze?

Digital Gaze is a blog i've had on the back burner for a few years now, i've always wanted to start a blog  to share my thoughts on different music related topics. This blog will feature many topics such as underground artists interviews, my thoughts on underground albums, as well as the discovery of new artists. My goal is to give artists a platform they deserve, which I know is hard at times. Stay safe out there everyone ❤ Until next time ~VDMR
